Peanut Butter!

What a great week! One highlight probably had to be when I got the package in our Reunion de Zona!!! Everyone loved the nerds. haha And Yosarra and Fabiano too! They were especially excited that they said wonka on them, and couldnt believe that the willy wanka chocolate factory from the movie was real! haha and I about died that I got a jar of peanut butter!!!! First pb and j in months tasted so good! haha and it was the first time Hna Rosas tried it. I am going to try to make it last until my next birthday. But we will see how long that lasts. When you have gone without something you love for so long it makes it so special. haah They kind of go all out for birthdays here. I had three different people tell me they were making me a cake, and we have breakfast, lunch, and dinner scheduled at different members houses. I am definitely taken care of here! They are so sweet and especially Hermano Salinas, our ward mission leader keeps describing the cake he is making for me. I think he is more excited than me.

 

This week we had two clases de musica! We are going to have them every martes y viernes. I teach piano and elder rivas teaches flute. Its kind of funny, I have never taught piano before, and here I am trying to do it, and do it in Spanish. haha I have one keyboard and about 12 students at once. The kids are so excited to learn and take really good notes. We are using it as a way for members to invite their friends into the churhc, and also we have had a ton of people ask to learn. Hopefully it will continue to go well!

 

We have 15 members in our District preparing to go to the temple the end of this month! And a lot are from our branch, including Hermano Salinas and his wife the relief society president! I am so excited for them and for the sacred convenants that they have teh opportunity to make there! The temple really is the house of the Lord and I am so tahnkful for all the times I was able to go before my mission! I love the scripture Come unto me and I will give you rest. As we come unto the lord in the temple, in our prayers, and in our daily lives we will find rest! This is the message of Jesus Crhist and it´s the message I get to share all day every day! how sweet is that!
